Visit amersfoort is an initiative of Citymarketing Amersfoort. We respect your privacy and handle your personal data with care. We process data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) and other applicable laws and regulations.

 

In this statement we explain what data we process, why we do so, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

 

2. Data we process.

We only collect data necessary for the functioning of the website and improving our services.

This includes:

  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type and session information (via cookies and security services).

  • Data that you enter yourself in the virtual assistant (AI-driven question-and-answer function), using it anonymously for analysis and optimization only.

 

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar techniques to make our website work properly, collect statistics and improve content.

We use Cookiebot to manage cookies. On your first visit, you can indicate in the cookie banner which cookies you want to allow.

Types of cookies:

  • Functional - necessary for the operation of the site.

  • Analytical - anonymously measure usability and performance.

  • Marketing - permission only, for relevant content.

 

 

4. Virtual assistant (AI-driven question-and-answer function)

Our website features a virtual assistant, made possible by OpenAI.

  • Everything you type in is sent through secure connections to OpenAI.

  • OpenAI retains data for up to 30 days for quality control and abuse prevention.

  • We use anonymized call data to analyze frequently asked questions and improve the assistant.

  • Please do not share any privacy-sensitive or confidential information through this post.

 

5. Security (Google reCAPTCHA)

We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our website from spam and abuse. This service analyzes visitor behavior and technical data (such as IP address and browser settings) to determine whether a visitor is human. More information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

 

6. Sharing data with third parties

We share data only with:

  • Cookiebot (for cookie management) - cookie preference data only.

  • OpenAI (for virtual assistant) - anonymized call data only, stored for up to 30 days.

  • Google (for reCAPTCHA) - technical and usage data required for security, whereby it is not used by us to identify individuals.

These parties process data in accordance with the AVG. If data is processed outside the EU, this is done with appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as:

  • Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS).

  • Access restrictions to systems.

  • Monitoring unauthorized access attempts.
