Amersfoort is bursting with hotspots and new gems, but some things never change. These are 4 favorite classics in town.

A pinch better

Whether you're looking for calming herbal teas or vitamins for extra energy, Kruidje Roer Me Niet has been a fixture for 50 years. Recognizable by the yellow-and-white striped awning next to Sint-Joriskerk, this family-owned business is a trusted specialty store in natural supplements, herbs and cosmetics. With expert advice, you'll find exactly what's right for you here.

Swing in

One thing is for sure: at Lazy Louis Jazzcafé & Eethuys you won't sit still. Jazz and blues have been filling the café since 1991, from the speakers to the old piano and saxophones on the wall. Named after Louis Armstrong, "lazy" stands for the relaxed atmosphere. At the long bar with its wide selection of specialty beers, you'll be totally immersed in the music.

Suit up!

When you think of a true classic, you think of Jac Hensen. In 1977 the company started in a small 60 m2 store in Amersfoort, with one clear goal: low prices for high quality clothing. It grew into a national success, but always remained a close-knit family business in which several generations are involved.

Rest in every corridor

Dille & Kamille is one of those stores where you 'just quickly' walk in and half an hour later you are completely zen outside again. For 48 years a firm favorite in a beautiful monumental building from 1663. Think: classical music, tea while shopping and an overload of beautiful, natural items for home, kitchen and garden. Extra fun: you can also take workshops here.
