We celebrate Koningsdag in Amersfoort together. Young and old come together to celebrate the King's birthday. We have listed all the tips and must-visit locations for you. Whether you want to dance to the best music during Koningsnacht, score unique finds at the flea market or just enjoy the festive atmosphere. Amersfoort is the place to be!

CENTRUM

Locations: Utrechtsestraat, Arnhemsestraat, Hellestraat, De Kamp, the Stadsring, the Jorisplein, Langestraat and Amicitia.
Time: 08:00 to 17:00

Join in on the many group games and creative activities, and enjoy music made by children.
FLORAL VALLEY STREET

Time: 10:00 to 17:00

The Bloemendalsestraat up to Plantsoen Noord turns bright orange. Stroll along the rug market, discover special finds and enjoy music, acts and the photobooth. For children there is plenty of fun: performing, face painting, puppet theatre and the Royal Bag Race. Don't miss this colorful piece of Amersfoort!

THE NEW CITY

Location: the Oliemolenhof and the Oude Fabriekstraat
Time: 10:00 to 17:00

In the heart of De Nieuwe Stad, a cozy and especially creative atmosphere is awakening. From local crafts to works of art, this is where to make your day unforgettable by wandering along the clay markets. Be surprised by the diversity of talents and enjoy the warm hospitality that characterizes this neighborhood.

The Eemplein in Amersfoort will be transformed into a cheerful children's rug market! Children can sell their own stuff or give a fun performance for free. Stroll along the rugs, enjoy face painting, crafts and music. Want to participate? Sign up quickly, because full = full!
HIGHLAND

Location: grass field next to riding school on the Engweg
Time: from 10:00

Hoogland's largest and coziest dress-up market. Stop by to browse among the rugs and make great finds. Join a laser game, climb on the bouncy castle and enjoy performances by dance school Moving Stars. The KolkVolk Orange Party invites you to dance and listen to the music of DJ Melvin.

Find a variety of activities for young and old, from bouncy castles to traditional favorites like cookie-hopping. With a DJ on hand, the music you don't want to miss, so come and experience an energetic King's Day.

Location: center of Vathorst
Time: 07:00 to 15:00

For the early birds, Vathorst is the place to be on Koningsdag! From 07:00 am, browse along the dress-up market. Then enjoy fun music, cozy terraces and delicious treats.

Location: The New Hof

De Nieuwe Hof turns orange on April 27!
Have a nice stroll along dresses, looking for gems or collect all the stuff you can sell, bring a dresser and see what your merchandise will fetch!

THE HOF

From 13.00 the party on the Hof bursts loose with a.o. Rock City Horns, the Major Martinis and the Peterband. From an explosive brass experience to a cover band where can't stop listening to: the Hof is also the place to be on Kings Day !
Lieve Vrouwekerkhof

From 09:00 to 21:00, the Lieve Vrouwekerkhof is the place to be for Koningsdag. Start with a free tompouce (while supplies last) and from 15:00 join the musical bingo by the BingoBand. With music, drinks and a cozy terrace, the atmosphere will be good all day!
Kafé van Zanten

Every year on King’s Day, Bloemendalsestraat near Kafé van Zanten is packed to the brim.
THE NEW CITY

De Nieuwe Stad will be buzzing during Koningsdag with food trucks, a beer garden by Het Lokaal, DJ Alter and music by FLUOR. For young and old there are games and activities, an ice cream truck for refreshment and a creative workshop by Marije Koelewijn. The place to enjoy together!

THE HOF

Bring your neighbors and your friends, because again this year the roof will go off! From 7 p.m., the feet of the floor with DJ Jean (known for his mega-hit The Launch) and performances by Charly Luske (known from The Voice and Best Singers). Be on time because full = full!
FLUOR

Remember? Shoulder pads, neon colors, cassette tapes and dance floors full of energy. FLUOR takes you back to a time when music was still really good. Expect an evening of pure nostalgia, with 80's Responsible, 90's NOW, Do You Remember These? And Disco Disco. Retro fit, crown and dance away!

Lieve Vrouwekerkhof

You're going to need your energy, so start your Koningsnacht well with a meal at Lieve Vrouwekerkhof. Eaten out and tuckered out? Time to dance! With a tight lineup of local bands, this is the place to be. Let the feet of the floor!

GOING OUT DURING KINGS NIGHT

Good news for party animals and orange lovers: during Koningsnacht a number of pubs stay open nice and long! 👑

Put on your party hat and dance on at Café Koetje, J&D, Pitchers, Karseboom, Tjommies, Café Thuis, Shots!, Miles, Curtis or Tante Cor.

And no stress about your coat: Stadsgarderobe is open so you can safely hang up your coat and go wild all evening.
