In the permanent exhibition “Amorfortia—A City Full of Stories , ” you ’ll journey from prehistory to the present. There, you’ll meet the people who together make up the city—from pilgrims and artists to artisans, innovators, and today’s residents. Through art, unique artifacts, and the multimedia city model, you’ll discover Amersfoort in a whole new way.

  • Opening hours around holidays.
    Open: Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday and Whit Monday and Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    On December 5, 24 and 31, the museum is open until 4 p.m.
    Closed: Christmas Day, New Year's Day and King's Day.
