The Veerensmederij is the home theatre of Holland Opera. Every year during the Christmas break, Holland Opera stages an opera for the whole family. In addition, thousands of children attend the performances and workshops as part of their school programs.
Muziektheater de Veerensmederij often organizes themed weekends—such as Children’s Music Week—in collaboration with other venues; “Herfststukjes” and “Lente-uitjes, where involve collaborations with Flint and theatre de Lieve Vrouw, as well as with the Utrecht Theatre, Theatre Kikker, Podium Hoge Woerd, Theatre aan de Slinger, and the Utrecht Library Theatre.
Ensembles such as Pynarello and the Ragazze Quartet, along with the Festival September Me, are regular guests at the Veerensmederij.
