Meet the artist in focus
Following a successful collaboration at the Concertgebouw in 2023, British-Jamaican cellist, composer, and singer-songwriter Ayanna Witter-Johnson and the Ragazze Quartet are joining forces once again . Ayanna’s music—a blend of jazz, R&B, reggae, and classical—gains extra depth with the addition of the string quartet. All the music is her own composition, and the richness of her music is fully showcased: from intimate songs performed by a small ensemble to instrumental string quartet repertoire and high-energy pieces for the full ensemble.

The Highlight, KOSMIK x September Me

Three KOSMIK artists and three musicians from the September Me network are taking on the challenge of creating new material that aligns with the festival’s “she/her” theme. They’ll meet for the first time during a residency at KOSMIK, Amersfoort’s premier hub for artist development. You’ll hear the results in this late-night concert. The duos: Enric Monfort (percussion) & Amersfoort native Eline Marleen Verkuijl ( pianist, composer, and singer), Dodó Kis (recorder) & Davy Lourenburg (guitarist, songwriter, and producer known as DAVIES), and Sarah Brink-Nielsen ( harp) & Anna Spark ( singer-songwriter and producer).
