Moerasje Hooglandsedijk

The marsh area Hooglandsedijk lies just northwest of the old city center of Amersfoort and is originally an old, partially silted, arm of the Eem that was called the "Kromme Eem." The area lies between the Hooglandsedijk, built at the time as part of the Grebbelinie, and the Hooglandseweg(-Noord), which traditionally formed the connection between Amersfoort and Hoogland. The area runs northwest to the place where the Valleikanaal and the present Eem flow together.
