Welcome to our Theatre Vooropleiding!
Theatre Vooropleiding Amersfoort (TVA) offers young people between the ages of 17 and 26 personal, down-to-earth and professional guidance towards HBO theatre. Talent development is a wonderful, but also intensive and exciting process. We like to help you find your own way within the broad theatre landscape and stand in your power. In doing so, we look both nationally and internationally for the right studies and opportunities. The artistic direction is in the hands of actress Jessica Zeylmaker and director Jori Hermsen.
We offer a range of different training and courses.
At TVA yearlong , from September through June, you will be taught 4 days a week by various teachers in the profession. Actress Jessie Wilms will be your mentor for one year.

We offer a range of different training and courses.
At TVA yearlong , from September through June, you will be taught 4 days a week by various teachers in the profession. Actress Jessie Wilms will be your mentor for one year.
At TVA Saturday , from September through March, 25 Saturdays you will receive in-depth lessons and personal guidance led by mentor Fjodor Jozefzoon.
At TVA film school you will develop in the field of film, behind and in front of the scenes. Here we offer individual workshops and master classes.
At TVA production group you will create an interdisciplinary theatre production together from September through April, every Tuesday evening.
At TVA lab , we give 2 to 3 former TVA students per year (up to 5 years after graduating from HBO theatre education) room to develop themselves into independent creators or collectives TVA offers guidance in the artistic creation process and entrepreneurship. They get the chance to explore their artistic signature from Amersfoort, set up their enterprise and develop productions. In the city we collaborate with parties such as: Lieve Vrouw, Flint, Kosmik, Scholen in de Kunst, NEOS and others. In this way TVA ensures a good connection to professional practice and a strong cultural chain in Amersfoort.
