De STIJLkaart van Amersfoort

2017 marks the 100th anniversary of De STYLE (world-renowned art movement founded in the Netherlands).

During the theme year "Mondriaan to Dutch Design," exhibitions and activities are organized in various cities.

Well-known Style artists are Theo van Doesburg, Bart van der Leck, Gerrit Rietveld and Piet Mondriaan. The first three were born in Utrecht, Piet Mondriaan in Amersfoort.

Gilde Amersfoort is organizing a walking tour of the city based on photos from the time when Mondriaan lived. This will be followed by a brief guided tour of the Mondrian House (his birthplace). You’re welcome to stay longer on your own.

This walk can be done on request from Tuesday to Sunday, takes 1.5 to 2 hours, costs €5.00 p.p. and the starting point is at City Hall and the walk ends at the Mondrian House.
