The Eemdriehoek is a place with a spectacular view of the confluence of the Eem and the Valley Canal. On the bank are marina De Stuw, the Keistad canoe club and the Amersfoort water scouting group. On the left, the Eem flows past Isselt industrial area, the Schans and the Meander hospital. On the right bank, a historic timber shed from around 1920 recalls the former steam sawmill De Dommekracht; in 1951, the building was relocated and converted to boat storage. The combination of water, history and urban greenery makes the Eemdriehoek a striking and varied piece of Amersfoort.
