From wonder to movement

In the 15th century, people came to Amersfoort from far and wide because of the Miracle of Amersfoort. They brought their stories and hopes with them, and their donations contributed to the city’s growth. During the “Wij Amersfoort” Pilgrimage, we bring this extraordinary story back to life. In this way, we connect the history of our city with the people who live here today and come together.
