Take a look in advance

As a child, Duda Paiva suffered from a disease that blistered his body and left him blind. Through his self-developed Object Score, the performer rewrites his body into a living map of limits, vulnerability and resistance. He uses powerful physical movements and breathtaking puppetry to generate insight and understanding in a tender and inclusive way.

BLIND was created in collaboration with Nancy Black of Black Hole Theatre (Melbourne, Australia) and co-developed by Afro-Brazilian anthropologist Patrick Oliveira. It is an immersive visual theatre experience that combines dance, sound, light and the manipulation of foam sculptures.

The performance will play again in the Netherlands and abroad, but will premiere in Duda's hometown - with us, at the De Lieve Vrouw.

After the performance, you’ll have the unique opportunity to meet Duda Paiva and see his iconic sculptures. Experience his one-of-a-kind foam rubber creations up close!
