Sinterklaas Parade

On November 14 at 1:00 p.m., St. Nicholas and his helpers will arrive at the Eemhaven in Amersfoort.

The arrival of Sinterklaas in Amersfoort is a festive highlight every year where that people of all ages look forward to. In 2026, the city will once again be fully immersed in the Sinterklaas spirit. True to tradition, the steamboat will sail into the Eemhaven, w where , Sinterklaas and his helpers will be given a festive welcome. Families, children, and other enthusiastic visitors will line the quay, ready to welcome Sinterklaas. And of course, plenty of pepernoten will be handed out!

After his arrival, Sinterklaas continues his route through the city center. This gives as many Amersfoort residents as possible the chance to see Sinterklaas and his helpers up close. With music, cheer, waving children, and a city full of Sinterklaas fans, the arrival parade marks a festive start to the Sinterklaas season.
