From July 19 through August 31, 2026, you can enjoy an adventurous summer vacation at the Het Groene Huis visitor center on the Schothorst Estate. Children and families can explore nature for free with fun scavenger hunts, hands-on activities, and creative projects.
Head out on a Nature Bingo adventure, spot animals during the animal scavenger hunt, or choose one of the interactive nature walks, such as the gnome, butterfly, or summer walk. Admire the IVN nature photography exhibition and take part in the photo challenge. With a photo frame from Het Groene Huis , you can take the most beautiful nature photos yourself.
At the nature playground, you can climb, build huts, pump water, and have a great time playing outdoors. On Wednesday and Sunday afternoons, the Medieval Farmyard is also open, where you can discover how people lived and worked some 1,200 years ago.
