Verkeerstuin

De Verkeerstuin is located at the Wagenwerkplaats in Amersfoort (WWP). The WWP still features a large number of old buildings, including the “Tussenruimte” warehouse. In December 2010, three Amersfoort-based organizers from a playground association set up a temporary go-kart track in the Tussenruimte.

ACTIVITIES FOR AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND SCHOOLS
A field trip with your class or after-school program to the Verkeerstuin is both fun and educational. At the Verkeerstuin , children can develop their skills in a playful way. They learn traffic rules and how to be considerate of other road users. Check our calendar to see which dates and times are still available. The Verkeerstuin offers all kinds of opportunities for a fun-filled day!

CHILDREN’S PARTIES
What could be more fun than celebrating your party with your friends at the Verkeerstuin? You can choose between a party with a fun activity kit or book one with a workshop instructor. It’s good to know that by hosting your party here, you’re also helping to support socially important projects at the Verkeerstuin . GO-KARTING
Enjoy go-karting in the indoor Verkeerstuin Amersfoort! For children ages 3 through 12: there’s a go-kart to suit everyone. You’ll learn about traffic rules in a fun way—and you’ll learn to be mindful of other road users. Volunteers from the verkeerstuin and your parents/guardians will, of course, be keeping an eye on things!


EVENTSIn addition to being a playground paradise for children, the Verkeerstuin is also an inspiring venue for a wide variety of events. From family parties to bike inspiration days, from reunions of the association for (grand) foster parents to school theatre performances for 600 visitors, to a conference on active citizenship—anything is possible, provided the request has a social aspect. The rate depends on the budget and the social relevance of the project.
