Irma's Winterdorp

For years Irma Miltenburg has been building her winter village in the window frame of her home at Muurhuizen in Amersfoort. What started small with a few Christmas houses has now become a downtown phenomenon. As a child her parents gave her all those cute little houses, then she never stopped collecting and expanding. Many dolls, including Wally from the search books, she makes herself. Every week she hides Wally and six little dalmatians somewhere else in the village, so passersby have something to look for.

The winter village is even included in the city walk of The Amersfoortse Gidsen, who contribute to Irma and her winter village with their own miniature versions in the landscape. So, if you're in Amersfoort, stop by!
