Birthplace of Piet Mondriaan
Piet Mondriaan became world famous as one of the founders of (geometric) abstract art. Visitors travel through Mondriaan's life in the birthplace, discovering his iconic work, his spiritual formation, his interests and friends.
The new exhibition makes use of the latest audiovisual techniques, allowing visitors to step into the artist’s mind, as it were, and experience his artistic journey. The exhibition concludes in the Do-It-Yourself Studio, a workshop where anyone inspired by Mondriaan can create their own work of art.
The Mondrian House offers interactive and varied guided tours on weekdays.
During the Central Region’s school breaks, we are also open on Mondays.

Open on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Pentecost Sunday and Pentecost Monday, and Boxing Day. Closed on King’s Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. On December 5, 24, and 31, the museum is open until 4:00 p.m. OPENING HOURS DURING SCHOOL BREAKS: During school breaks, the Mondrian House is also open on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
