During the Chinese New Year celebration, there is a tragic, violent incident that puts the relationship between Didi, Amy and Cheung on another track. Blue Sun Palace - shot on 16mm film - premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was subsequently shown at some 30 festivals, where director and actors were nominated several times and also received awards, including for Best Actor (Lee Kang-shen) and Best Actress (Ke-Xi Wu and Haipeng Xu).
