Textile Walk and Cotton Printing Workshop

An active and creative outing in which you first take the 1-hour Textile Walk 'Schering en Inslag' from the de Koppelpoort , led by a guide from Gilde Amersfoort. The tour ends at national monument De Volmolen. There you will take part in a short 1-hour cotton printing workshop in the traditional workshop of the Katoendrukkerij.

During the walk you will pass places where all kinds of textiles were made, from simple fabrics to luxury garments. Then you will be introduced to textile printing with beautiful wooden handmade printing blocks. You will learn the basics of printing. After making a proof on paper, you work out your design on a cotton bag. Afterwards you will take it home as a nice souvenir of this active morning.

The walk with workshop will take place with a minimum of 4 registrations (max. 15 participants).
