Fashion show: Soft resistance

In Soft Resistance, ponchos are much more than garments. They are wearable works of art that tell stories about nature, landscape and our connection to the earth.

Textile artist Florentine works with wool, silk and recycled materials. By felting, building layers and playing with structures, she creates unique textile landscapes where color, shape and fibers come together. Her work not only shows the beauty of nature, but also makes tangible how fragile it is.

With her choice for craft, reuse and attention to material, Florentine forms a subtle counterbalance to mass production and fast fashion. This is the soft resistance: slowing down, consciously creating and giving space to the stories hidden in textiles.

During the fashion show, the works literally come to life. Once the ponchos are worn, the landscapes unfold in motion, creating a special encounter between art, textile and body.
