More Textile Festival

In the Rietveldpaviljoen you will discover a special exhibition with some 75 textile works made during five Museum Masterclasses. Textile creators drew inspiration from art, heritage and photography and translated these sources into contemporary designs.

Under the guidance of Jolanda Drukker-Murray, Marijke Schurink and Marjolein van der Heide, a multifaceted collection of embroidery, knitting, tuft art and spatial textile objects was created. Where possible, original sources of inspiration are also on display, from the Royal Photographic Association, the Mondrian House and the Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed.

The Textile Festival takes place from May 20 to 23 may, but the exhibition can still be visited until June 14. In addition, from may 28 to June 14 there are several workshops to follow.

The Museum Masterclasses started in September 2025 around the theme No Waste. Participants explored how museum collections and photography can be translated into personal and contemporary textile art.
