Drumroll... A door opens, a spotlight comes on and an actor comes on. A laugh track starts. And there he is at last. With nothing more than a microphone, a stool and a glass of water, Elias begins his very first night of comedy.

At least, that was the plan. But it starts at the turnout: Elias gets caught up in an endless series of curtains and drapes before he has even reached the audience at all. And when he finally stands there, reality proves more unruly than the dream.

One night with Elias is an intimate solo performance that peels away layer by layer what it means to "be there. It's not comedy. It's not stand-up. But it looks so suspiciously like it might be.
