ECHO

Artist Stephen Dean created the installation ECHO (2026) especially for the Elleboogkerk . Dean is known for using special glass in his enormous ladder sculptures. Ladders where light both passes and projects spots of color on floors and walls, and where light is reflected so that the glass itself is a plane of color. With these, he creates dynamic art installations that look different all the time.

Throughout the day, between each rung, a panel changes color in response to light and viewpoint. Surfaces reflect and project color onto walls and into the sky, nothing moves, yet everything changes.
