On August 23, two special artists will perform together on the Waterpodium Emiclaer: Della Dix and John-Lewis. What makes this afternoon unique is their strong bond. The two know each other well from the local music scene and released the personal single “Sorry” together—a relatable track about love, communication, and vulnerability. Della Dix performs narrative hip-hop with raw, honest lyrics about resilience and life, while John-Lewis takes you on a journey with his Dutch-language folk music full of melancholy, humor, and everyday emotions. It’s precisely this combination of styles that makes it special to see these two artists perform live—both separately and together. Amfitheater Amersfoort is a unique open-air theatre located in the Kattenbroek neighborhood. The stage, situated in the pond in front of the theatre, offers a unique and atmospheric setting where artists, choirs, bands, and other acts can showcase their talent. Among other things, the Ashok Bhalotra Amphitheater Foundation is committed to providing an inspiring platform where artists can develop their craft and connect with the local audience.
