The lights go out, the room becomes silent. You sit comfortably in a cinema seat while the first sounds float through the room. With no distractions, just the music. During a Musica Mundo Lights Out Listening Session, everything revolves around one iconic album.

This edition is dedicated to Kifak Inta by Fairuz, the legendary "voice of Lebanon." The album is a special collaboration between Fairuz and her son Ziad Rahbani. Traditional Arabic music mixes here with influences of jazz, funk and bossa nova: a style that marked a new chapter in her career in the 1980s and 1990s. Kifak Inta appeared in 1991 and at the time was released only on cassette and CD. In 2021, the album was re-mastered and sounds more impressive than ever.
