Saxophonist and Edison winner Efraïm Trujillo presents a new acoustic jazz trio: Efraïm Trujillo 3. Together with guitarist Eran Har Even and double bassist Sven Schuster, he forms an intimate ensemble in which interplay, melodic freedom and improvisation are central.

At the end of 2019, Efraïm Trujillo opened his Studio Theemsweg in Amsterdam with great enthusiasm and élan. He was barely settled or the world came to a halt due to the coronavirus. As a result, "producer" Trujillo had every opportunity to develop new material. He also formed an acoustic jazz trio with guitarist Eran Har Evan and double bassist Sven Schuster.

The album 3 Part Harmony (ZenneZ Records) released by this trio features new compositions by Efraïm and Sven. The album's title refers to a compositional technique that plays an important role in the trio's music. Instead of a traditional division between melody and accompaniment, the compositions are written as three independent but interconnected lines. Saxophone, guitar and double bass therefore move through the piece as equal voices: sometimes harmonically intertwined, sometimes contrapuntally opposed, but always balanced.
