If we continue to farm the way we do today, our food system will collapse. In *Eat More Trees*, narrated by actress Hanna Verboom, we follow Dutch farmer Yanniek Schoonhoven, who, together with her husband, is transforming degraded land into a thriving example of regenerative agriculture. We travel alongside food forest expert and regenerative pioneer Louis De Jaeger from the Amazon Rainforest to European farmlands. Their dream? To fill supermarkets with healthy and diverse products from agroforestry.
The film weaves together the personal stories of Alfonso, Yanniek, and Louis with broader, universal themes such as regeneration, the environment, sustainability, and humanity’s connection to the earth. We witness the daily struggles they face—their triumphs, setbacks, and the growing impact of their work on their communities. Their paths cross when they decide to collaborate and share their knowledge.
