Walk on Indian Traces in Amersfoort

Did you know that in the city center of Amersfoort there are Indian/Indonesian traces from the past?

During the walk Indische sporen in Amersfoort Tom and Jolien van der Geugten take you along stories, places and discoveries that show how this history is connected to the city.

Using books, archival documents, monuments and even a VOC diary, surprising stories surfaced. One of the special discoveries was that we were able to find out where five Ambonese princes lived in Amersfoort.

You don't need any previous knowledge for this walk. Just by walking you will discover traces in the city that you would otherwise easily pass by.
