In 2024 Peter won the Poelifinario for the best cabaret performance of the past season with the third and final part Love, Death & Cake. After an earlier nomination for this award, three Annie M.G. Schmidt Award nominations for best theatre song and selection for the Dutch Theatre Festival in the Cabaret Collection, this was the crowning glory of his concert series, unanimously praised by the press.

Assisted by his versatile band, Van Rooijen brings an evening full of humor, (self) mockery and melancholy with the now characteristic mix of musical styles; rock, jazz, cabaret songs, pop music and church singing.
