Sphera dancing for women

Women from the Kruiskamp, Koppel, Liendert and Rustenburg districts can participate in a special dance project: Sfera. Sfera was developed by Tatiana de la Fuente in Amsterdam. The method is very successful there, there are regularly vibrant dance afternoons in different neighborhoods of the city. And we would like to bring that to the Amersfoort neighborhoods!

Sfera is a dance project for women from all corners of the world and of all ages, with and without dance experience. With dance as a universal language, women from different cultural backgrounds can connect and be active together. In Amersfoort, Estrella Smith will guide the dance afternoons.

About Estrella
Estrella Smith is 19 years old and grew up in Amersfoort. She studies dance in Tilburg, where she is developing in different dance styles such as classical ballet, modern, contemporary, hip-hop and afro.

"What I love most about dance is how I can translate myself in its purest form and connect with others in that same language. I hope I can continue to develop my dance to be a connecting factor between people and cultures. After all, I've discovered that you don't have to understand each other's language or customs to move together and that's what I hope to contribute to project Sfera.'

Practical information
There are 5 blocks of 5 lessons each. You can choose to participate in 1 block or you can follow all of them.

Block 1 ➞ 14, 21 & 28 September and 5 & 12 October

Block 2 ➞ November 9, 16, 23 & 30 and December 7.

Block 3 ➞ 11, 18 & 25 January and 1 & 8 February

Block 4 ➞ 8, 15, 22 & 29 March and 5 April

Block 5 ➞ may 17 & 24 and June 7, 14 & 21 (this block is still subject to change)

Day and time: Saturday afternoons from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Participation in the dance lessons is free.
