Hurricane 5 ft. Graziella | Courtyard Concert

A special all stars line-up of Hurricane 5 with saxophonist Alexander Beets as bandleader. Besides singer Graziella Hunsel-Rivero, he brings along saxophonists Rolf Delfos and Femke Mooren. Francisco Rodríguez will play the piano this afternoon.

Graziëlla Hunsel-Rivero is a versatile Amsterdam jazz vocalist with Surinamese and Spanish roots, who has been on stage for over 40 years. Her love for jazz began in 2011 after hearing Sarah Vaughan's "Broken Hearted Melody," which led to productions such as "The Grand Ladies of Jazz" and "The Jazz in Me," and performances with the Concertgebouw Orchestra, among others. She won an episode of "All Together Now," reached the quarterfinals of "Spain's Got Talent" and remains active as a performer and mentor for young talent.

Alexander Beets is a musical all - rounder, playing in the tradition of legendary reed players Stanley Turrentine, Sonny Rollins and Houston Person . Alexander 'Hurricane' Beets is one of the rare tenor heroes in the Netherlands (Parool). He created a furor with the Beets Brothers and worked with numerous leading figures in (inter)national jazz.
