In Panama Pictures' new performance, A story of displacement, we meet a group of people adrift, searching for a familiar place, a home.

The quest in A story of displacement takes place in an inhospitable landscape with rocky slopes and undulating floorboards, which turn out to be elastic. These springy floorboards break the performers' fall, deforming and aggravating their movements and but also sometimes making them almost fly - moments of weightlessness form a sharp contrast to slipping, tumbling and seeking grip. In this isolated landscape, other natural laws thus seem to apply, creating a new, fascinating idiom of movement.
