In the theatrical dance performance Sorry not sorry, MAN || CO immerses you in a simulated world. Inspired by the computer game The Sims 2000, you are introduced to the ideal family. On a plot with a house under construction, the avatars start their life simulation: they optimize skills and fulfill basic needs.

When temptation knocks unexpectedly on the door, things go wrong. Choking nightmares disrupt sleep. The dog goes haywire. The ideal runs aground. Even after a fight, a human response fails to materialize. The avatars are left in confusion.

At a time when we move between the virtual and physical worlds, MAN || CO plays on nostalgia for the year 2000. Algorithms and AI were not yet part of our lives. The collective asks: to what extent have humans come to resemble the avatars from the simulated world of The Sims?

With a mix of dance and mime, in Sorry not sorry the line between real and fake disappears with humor and sadism.
