In Sorry not sorry, five Sims avatars (three female dancers and two male mimers) make carefree acquaintances. Inspired by the computer game The Sims 2000, they start their life simulation on a lot with a house under construction. They train skills and fulfill basic needs. But when the pool stairs suddenly disappear, the bed is no longer in its place and an intensive mirror session fails to raise charisma skills, their pleasure bar rapidly empties. The desire for autonomy burns in their insides, but the controls seem immovable.
During the dance party, the avatars become embroiled in attack modes and uninhibited swearing. To outwit the simulation, they invent a new skill: saying Sorry. They end up in a spiral of painful, casual, implausible and hilarious regrets. Turns out: saying sorry is an artful skill.
