In Melancholy in the Polder 2, Carel Kraayenhof and Leoni Jansen once again take you on an enchanting, musical journey. In the Beemster meadow, Kraayenhof and Jansen bombarded each other with everything they liked for Part 1, from Argentine folk music to Scottish traditionals and from Dutch to Arabic sounds.

In part 2 they stay true to that; they play what they like, but dig even deeper into folk music of Irish jigs, Scottish reels and Argentine folk music with African rhythms. They alternate these with instrumental pieces for bandoneon and bodhran, a Dutch pop song or a Southern blues by Rory Block.

In Melancholie in de Polder 2, Jansen and Kraayenhof know how to smoothly bring together their colorful mix of musical tastes, simply because they play it and know how to tell inspired stories about it.
